Taxpayers may submit their inquiries directly by phone or email. The assessor anticipates a response time of 24 hours or less. In most cases, response times range from immediate to momentarily. Weekend and holiday responses do occur.

Lake Township – July Board of Review Notice

The Lake Township Board of Review may convene on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 (the Tuesday following the third Monday in July) pursuant to MCL 211.53b. This meeting is held solely to consider items such as: (1) qualified error petitions — such as clerical errors, mutual mistakes of fact, or errors in taxable status; (2) appeals under sections 7ee and 7jj regarding poverty and hardship exemptions; and (3) exemption claims under section 7u for the immediately preceding tax year. Petitions may be initiated by the property owner or the assessing officer. To request a hearing, please contact the Lake Township Assessor’s office ten days prior to the meeting date.
